Services
Services available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at both University of Utah Health Sciences Center University Hospital and Primary Children’s Medical Center include: respiratory therapy, social services, pharmacy, radiology, bacteriology, blood chemistry and hematology, blood gas analysis, and intensive care.
Sweat testing and complete pulmonary function testing; including body plethysmography and exercise testing are available during weekdays on a routine basis.
Consultative services are available in interventional radiology, general and cardiothoracic surgery, anesthesiology, neonatology, otolaryngology, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry, infectious diseases, cardiology, neurology, urology, nephrology, gastroenterology, dermatology, allergy/immunology, and genetics.
Lung transplantation is available for appropriate candidates at University Hospital.
Primary Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) is one of fifteen children’s hospitals in the country to receive a Level I Trauma Center designation independent of an adult designation.
The University of Utah Hospital is an adult Level I trauma center.
